Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and Stirling are within easy commuting distance whether you're driving or taking the train. The train station is a short walk from the apartment. The historic town of Dunfermline, with its impressive Abbey and also famous for being the birthplace of Andrew Carnegie, is a short drive away, where you will find a shopping centre, an array of bars and restaurants and a leisure centre. Pittencrief Park is located in Dunfermline's Town centre, where you can enjoy walks, or a cycle through the many pathways, spotting the wildlife (including peacocks), the children's play park, or visit the Glasshouses, which have a variety of exotic and tropical plants. The award winning Silver Sands beach at Aberdour is around a 10 minute drive away (or if you enjoy walking, you can take the coastal path) and offers a restaurant on the beach front, where you can enjoy the sea views. The 3 iconic Forth Bridges over the Firth of Forth are around a 20 minute drive away from the apartment and are definitely worth seeing. There are a few tour operators who organise sightseeing tours of the Firth of Forth and the bridges by boat. Whether it's a relaxing break away from it all, or a visit to the East Nuek of Fife, with it's many picturesque towns and villages, golfing at St Andrews (or any of the many golf courses throughout Fife), taking in a show at the annual Edinburgh Festival, walking, sight seeing, cycling, fishing, dining out or shopping, but to name a few, you will find it here.
