There is lots to see and do in the local area from mountain walks and trips to the ski slopes to water sports on the river Gave. Popular day trips include - the tourist train at Artouste for close up views of the Pyrénées and mountain lakes, Pau Chateau, Lourdes, St Jean du Luz, Biarritz and the coast of Spain including Bilbao for the Guggenheim Museum and the seaside resort of San Sebastian.
