Summary: Cosy 2 double bedroom cottage situated near Canterbury East Station just 10min walk from the city centre and very close to Canterbury Christ Church University, Kent Hospital and the Cricket grounds providing an ideal base from which to explore the medieval city of Canterbury. Canterbury Cathedral is 15 min walk. The Space: GROUND FLOOR: - Cosy lounge with TV and sitting area - Dining table and Fridge/Freezer, board games and books available - Fully-equipped kitchen with microwave, kettle, toaster, hob, oven, washing machine and kitchen utensils - Downstairs toilet next to kitchen - Patio and garden with BBQ FIRST FLOOR: - 2 double bedrooms with wardrobes, chest of drawers, hair-dryer, space for travel cot (no bedding provided) or an extra single mattress that can be added on request. - 1 bathroom with bathtub and shower. Guest Access: Full access to the entire property and outdoor area. Free Wifi throughout your stay. Please note the stairs that lead to the first floor can be a bit steep. Self-served coffee, tea and sugar are available for free during your stay. Shower gel, shampoo, fresh bed linen and towels are provided. If you need to park, there is free street parking between the hours of 6pm-8am during the weekend and is free during the weekends. From the hours of 8am-6pm however, you can only park for 4 hours. Please be aware of this as traffic wardens will come round. The Neighborhood: Canterbury is a historic university city famed for its magnificent Cathedral and a place of cultural pilgrimage and is a cosmopolitan and vibrant place. The cottage is conveniently located just 10 minutes walk from the historic city centre and high street as well as the Canterbury East rail station and Christ Church University. There are numerous lovely local pubs, restaurants and local attractions within 10-15 minutes walk of the cottage including the Canterbury Cathedral, the Whitefriars shopping centre, Kings School, The Marlowe Theatre and the River Stour. Getting Around: For those traveling from London to Canterbury West station, you can take a taxi at the station for £5 and will take you to the cottage in a 5 min ride. The cottage is just a five minute walk to Canterbury East rail station with connections to London Victoria station. You can also get trains to discover other areas in Kent such as Whitstable, Faversham, Dover and Margate. In addition it is walking distance to bus stop serving the university, Whitstable, Herne Bay and Margate. Other Things to Note: I try to keep my pricing simple, no charges for extra guests and a cleaning fee which covers the cost of professional cleaning, a few essential sundries to get you started as well as washed and ironed bed linen and towels for your stay.
