The Coach House
The Coach House - A family and dog friendly hideaway.
This newly refurbished, coastal themed Coach House is is set within the garden of a larger Victorian property and can accommodate up to four guests. The Coach House offers a private entrance and accommodation on two floors. A south facing conservatory and clean interior throughout make it a unique space. There is a conservatory with a cocktail sofa, good sized table and three chairs to enjoy a lazy breakfast or supper. Through the barn doors is a good sized entrance hall equipped with a new combi boiler and a cupboard containing an iron, ironing board and airer. There is a fully equipped and newly refurbished kitchen downstairs which also shares the space with a cosy living / dining area. This features a TV and DVD player and you can find some DVDs available for you to choose from in the Coach House entrance way. Up the stairs you will find a spacious landing with an office desk / dressing table area and a selection of adult and children books and many traditional games. Off the landing is a large double bedroom which comfortably fits an additional single z-bed if you should need to share with a third person. We can provide a fourth z bed but due to the space this would only be appropriate for two child / teens. This bedroom is also equipped with a wardrobe and chest of drawers containing a hairdryer. There is a nautical themed, white suite, shower room fitted with freshly laundered sheet towels which are available for each guest. Additionally there are two hand towels, a shower mat, shampoo, body wash and ample toilet roll provided. You will access the property through the garden gate and have your own key to the Coach House property. We will not bother you but you are welcome to telephone or text us if you need anything. We live on the site so will be able to assist quickly if we are in or arrange for assistance if we are not. The garden is small and therefore needs to remain our private garden for our family but is available for your dog to use at anytime. We have made sure that the south facing garden room / conservatory is a beautiful and comfortable space to relax in with the double doors opening to bring the fresh outside, in. There are dogs that live on site and use the garden. Guests don't often come into contact with them but they are around. When you are in the conservatory we have provided a retractable gate that ensures our dogs stay out but allows all the air in. Please see the picture. This is a non smoking property and smoking is not permitted in the Coach House or in the garden. Parking restrictions on our road apply between 8.00am-6.00pm Monday - Saturday where you are only allowed 1 hours parking. This is due to being so central to the amenities and shops. Many guests are out during these hours but if you will not be, there is a street just behind us where the parking is unlimited and many guests choose to park there. Alternatively there is Norrish Road car park, a short 3 minute walk, where you can park for up to 24 hours a day with a maximum charge of £5.00 per day. This is also available in the ‘JustPark’ app. If you are bringing a dog: The garden is fully available for your dog to use and secure. We provide a dog towel, dog water bowl, poo bags for the garden and some extra little treats. There is a small charge of £10 to be paid in cash. This covers the extra cleaning costs for your furry friend. Please message if you have any additional questions.
