During World War II, it was part of the belt of forts around Liege, consisting of a dozen other military bastions, including the famous Fort Eben-Emael. This is now accessible, as is the accompanying museum. DETAILS - This building was part of the "Tête du pont d'Argenteau" at the time: a belt of 12 bunkers and forts around Liege. It now serves as a vacation home for those with a keen interest in this turbulent time - The beautiful, natural environment is ideal for hikers, cyclists and horseback riders.
