Serengale Retreat

Stylish luxury is the promise of this Retreat accommodating up to 10 people. Centrally located between Beechworth and Milawa Gourmet regions, nestled within 14 private acres adjoining Serengale Vineyard, this is an invitation to turn off the fast pace of life. Meticulously renovated with spacious living areas, five generous bedrooms and lavishly furnished with contemporary furniture, original artworks and a gourmet kitchen it is the perfect location to explore North East Victoria. Imagine entering a driveway lined with Australian gums to your own private large solar passive house complete with outdoor entertainment area, swimming pool and extensive areas to explore. You can follow the forest trail, listen to the native birds, observe kangaroos grazing out your dining room window, star gaze the milky way at night relaxing by the swimming pool in summer or snuggle by the open fire place in winter. The house is fully self contained, designed with enough room for everyone to find their own space but with smaller areas for that romantic getaway. There is a large lounge room complete with a reading area, an open plan gourmet kitchen that would satisfy the most discerning chef with a dining room complete with a table easily able to seat 10 people comfortably. There are two separate sleeping zones with five generous bedrooms, four with queen size beds and one with twin beds. There is also two bathrooms (one an en suite) and a laundry complete with washing machine. The house is fully self contained including luxury linen and towels. We also provide an initial generous breakfast hamper and a bottle of our wine from Serengale Vineyard. Guests can pick seasonal fruit and nuts from the trees or supplement scrumptious meals with vegetables and herbs from the vegetable patch.We provide free WiFi but as we are a rural property we do not have broad band access so if guests need more data we suggest that guests also bring additional data. We also have a portacot and high chair available on request. As we are a land for wildlife property wood is left for habitat as well as for our guests' open fireplace so firewood is restricted to two barrel loads of wood per stay. Serengale Retreat also offers guests wine tasting at our vineyard and experienced local practitioners offer massage or yoga sessions for an additional fee. You can also arrange to have a private chef for that special occasion or have freshly prepared food waiting for them if they get in late or just want to relax. Guests can also be picked up for trout fishing or arrange for bike transfer if they are planning on doing the Rail Trail. Details of these additional services are available upon request and confirmation of booking. We respect our guests privacy. We provide a guidebook that includes what to do at the Retreat, what is available in our beautiful region and house guidelines for while you stay. We are next door so we generally do a "meet and greet" depending on guest arrival, preference and whether we are in the vineyard or the winery working! Serengale Retreat is between Beechworth and the Milawa Gourmet Region - both are ten minutes drive from the Retreat. The Rail Trail is 1 km away with the Everton Station allowing bike riding to either Wangaratta, Beechworth or Bright along the trial or to explore the Milawa Gourmet region or Eldorado by quiet country roads. National Parks are only a 20 minute drive and so is Wangaratta. Wineries of Beechworth are either open by appointment (we can help you to arrange some with some notice) and the cellar doors of Indigo and Amulet are only 1 km from the Retreat with Serengale Vineyard next door. Serengale Retreat is an easy 3 hour drive from Melbourne, 45 minutes from Albury airport, four hours from Canberra and seven hours from Sydney.
