The small fraction called "Ossaia" is at a distance of 1.5 kms from the house- there is an excellent restaurant/pizzeria (La Tufa) and a small bar. There is a fully stocked mini market at 3.5 kms, and also several larger supermarkets in Camucia (4.5 kms) and in Terontola (4 kms), both fully serviced towns. Casale Lavanda is set in the perfect location for touring all of Tuscany and Umbria with Cortona, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Chianti, Pienza, Siena, Florence, Assisi, Perugia and many more towns just a short and easy drive away. Tuscany's charming coastal towns, beaches, and natural parks are all within a couple hours drive making it possible to also spend a day at the seaside. All services, supermarkets, restaurants, wineries, thermal baths, walking and cycling paths, shopping villages, and best of all many of the most famous Medieval town centers in Italy are all in the vicinity. Main line train stations in Camucia and Terontola are only a ten minute drive away. Relax and enjoy a meal or an aperitivo out on the terrace with a beautiful view of Cortona’s historic center up on the hill.
