Paradise Retreat Lakehouse

The Paradise Retreat Lakehouse is intimate for 2 and comfortable for 10. It is located in Jamieson on the banks of Lake Eildon. Sit on the deck with some loved ones, a drink & nibbles and enjoy the serenity of the lake views. The property is set in a quiet bushy location with Lake Eildon at the end of the backyard. Enjoy everything Lake Eildon has to offer with the Jamieson Township only a short drive away. The property does back onto Lake Eildon. Unfortunately this part of the lake empties from time to time. At the moment, the lake out the back of the property is currently empty. We have photos of the lake with and without water. Send us a note if you want to know the status of this part of the lake. Jamieson is about 200kms from Melbourne’s CBD. The neighbouring town of Mansfield is about 30 minutes away and the Eildon Township is just over an hour away through the Lake Eildon National Park. The Jamieson Township is located at the junction of the Goulburn and Jamieson rivers. Jamieson has a rich history of gold mining which is highlighted in the Jamieson museum. The Jamieson museum is situated in the former Jamieson court house which was built in 1864. If you love the snow and skiing then Mansfield and Mount Buller is only about 40km away. If you like water sports then you have Lake Eildon at your doorstep. There are plenty of pretty drives and walks around the town and the Lake Eildon National Park. If you like to try a nice beer then Jamieson has its own brewery - Wrong Side Brewing. This offers craft beers that are brewed on site for you to enjoy with a meal in the restaurant or to purchase and enjoy at home. We have tried to equip the Paradise Retreat Lakehouse with quality items to make your stay feel more homely. High quality, high thread count linen, coffee machine, phone chargers in each room, towels and dressing gowns to name a few of luxury items available to ensure your stay is as relaxed as possible. The back deck is geared for entertaining. It is fully enclosed with patio blinds that can be rolled up in summer to get the water breezes and lowered to enjoy the surrounds on the cooler nights. The deck is equipped with an 8 seater outdoor setting and a 5 seater cane lounge to relax after or before your meal. The deck is also equipped with a gas BBQ and a BBQ cleaning kit to ensure your meal is cooked to perfection. Inside are 4 spacious bedrooms with enough beds to sleep up to 10 people. Beds and quality linen are supplied for your comfort. Phone chargers are also supplied in each bedroom so you do not totally lose touch with the outside world. Bedroom 1 is an upstairs carpeted room that has king size bed. This bedroom has an adjoining ensuite that is supplied with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Split system heating & cooling. It has its own private balcony with a magnificent view of the lake. Bedroom 2 is another generous upstairs carpeted bedroom fitted with a king size bed. Pillows and doona are supplied using high quality linen to make your stay more comfortable. This bedroom has a built in wardrobe with coat hangers and ample cloak space. Split system heating & cooling. Bedroom 3 is a downstairs carpeted bedroom with a queen bed and large wardrobe. This bedroom also follows the theme of the house offering high quality linen. Bedroom 4 offers 2 single beds each with a pull out single trundle mattress ideal for the kids or other guests. The house has two fresh and modern bathrooms with shampoo, conditioner and body wash supplied. Two toilets are available, one upstairs and one down stairs. The house has large kitchen with ample room to cook up a storm. The kitchen is well equipped with a large gas stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker and all the cutlery and crockery to ensure everyone enjoys each meal.
