4 bedroom, 3 bath house on the lake in the North Georgia mountains! Secluded and private property, yet very close to downtown Hiawassee! Sleeps 10! Come relax in your home away from home on Lake Chatuge in beautiful Hiawassee Georgia. This spacious home is newly constructed and offers 2 levels of living. Beautiful property with lake access but no direct lake views. Large driveway. 4 cars max. No RVs. If you have a boat trailer, please call us and we’ll instruct you where to park. We love the #lakelife around here as well as the majestic mountains. So much to do and see right in town. We have a handy Welcome Book in the house full of Places to Eat, Things to Do, Shopping, Hiking and Waterfall Trails. Wineries abound; they’re everywhere! And a short 25 min drive to Helen for tubing or zip lining. There are several excellent boat rental places in the area! We use Lake Chatuge Marine, Young Harris Water Sports, Boundary Waters... The fellas will help you out! All kinds of water toys too like jet skis, standup paddle boards and kayaks. Hike or drive to the apex of Bell Mountain, which overlooks Lake Chatuge below and provides picturesque mountain views. Shooting Creek Overlook is breathtaking. Visit Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia. Jackrabbit Mountain and Chatuge Dam. Both Towns County (Hiawassee GA) and Clay County (Hayesville NC) have super parks and beaches. Trailheads of the Appalachian Trail, which spans from Georgia to Maine, are less than 10 miles from this home. On the main level there is the master bedroom (king size bed) with an attached bathroom. There is also a guest bedroom (queen size bed) and bathroom. The living, kitchen and dining areas are all open to each other. The living room couch is a queen size sleeper sofa. In the terrace level, there are 2 guest bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has 2 sets of bunk beds each with a twin xl mattress. The other guest bedroom offers a queen size bed. This level has its own full size kitchen as well as living & dining areas. This home is perfect for one large family, but offers enough space & privacy, when needed, for two. Home is situated on an acre lot & allows plenty of room to run & play! A golf cart is also available for guests to use. Wifi is available too. Outside Grill that takes pellets, which are provided. There’s a boat dock right down the road. Can use golf cart to get there :)
