This delightful Grade II listed cottage (part of an old Stocking Mill) nestling in the picturesque Peak District benefits from being only a few steps away from the village tearoom & some cracking pubs! Cycle on the Monsal Trail or walk in the stunning grounds at Chatsworth House, both are easily accessible and glorious views await. A visit to the nearby market town of Bakewell to sample the infamous Bakewell Pudding, is also a must! Our aim has been to make The Bobbin, an extremely comfortable 'home from home' ! The cottage is split over three floors and comprises: Kitchen, Sitting Room with eating area, Double Bedroom, Twin Room and Family Bathroom. There is a shared Courtyard to the rear, accessible from the kitchen with table and chairs and two outhouses, one for laundry and the other for bicycles. Regarding children playing outside, please be advised there is no gate to close off the Courtyard. Also, the staircase is steep and may not be suitable for very young children, ie toddlers and the elderly. Guest access: Guests can park in front of/near to the property and have access via the right hand side of the building and via the kitchen to the Courtyard at the rear of the cottage. The neighbourhood: The Bobbin is perfectly situated in the heart of the village & ideal for those with & without transport. Ashford in the Water is steeped in history & with the Monsal Trail on the doorstep, there is plenty to see & do. You can enjoy a day out visiting Derbyshire's jewel, Chatsworth or pop into Bakewell (The Pointing Dog & Duck by the river is an excellent place to eat) & then on to Haddon Hall. Nearby Hassop Station has a wonderful café, book & gift store too with cycle/bike hire available. Other things to note: Wood Burning Stove We supply some logs to get you going in the Winter months-December/January/February More logs available to purchase from supermarkets in Bakewell Bluetooth Speaker in Sitting Room Books, DVDs and Board Games Complementary Soap, Shower/Bath Gel and Shampoo for your use 100% Cotton Bedlinen Divan Beds with pocket sprung mattresses Feather Pillows & Non Allergenic Pillows available Wooden and padded coat hangers Travel Cot, Highchair and bottom cotton sheet available on request
