With a large heated pool, this cabana-style guest house is a luxe bush retreat, close to the famous Great North Walk, but with a long list of fancy amenities at your fingertips. We love the private patio, perfect for poolside dinners on balmy nights. Filled with every amenity you could possibly want. Polished concrete floors and an all white interior make this a stunning little oasis for those looking for a serene break away or a base for bushwalking. A large covered verandah overlooks the sparkling pool and this area is cool on the very hottest of days. Comfortable sun loungers are located next to the pool and pool towels are also provided. The pool is long enough to swim laps and it is heated October through to May. A barbecue is provided for outdoor dining if you wish. The kitchen is fully stocked with every appliance, crockery, cutlery and more - you will want for nothing. Plenty of storage in your large laundry that is fully equipped with a modern washer, clothes dryer and all ironing needs. Wifi and Ethernet are provided on site. You can chill out with the large DVD movie collection, games or large book and magazine collection, all provided for your use. The tv is setup to watch Netflix. The queen size bed is ultra plush with crisp white linens and quality dressings. The bedroom has an extra large wardrobe with plenty of hanging space with hangers provided plus drawer space. A pair of ultra plush sheridan bathrobes is also provided for your comfort and relaxation. The bathroom is spacious as is the shower with it's extra large generous shower head. Please note that we only host singles or couples. No children, pets or visitors please. If you wish to meet up with friends during your stay in the cabana please do so offsite. The “Cabana” is in Berowra which sits on the edge of the stunning Australian Bush and you have the famous Great North Walk just 2 minutes stroll from your doorstep. This is a fabulous base for keen bushwalkers, bird watchers or those keen on wildlife watching. A few links are provided here for those seeking referrals and instructions on the many walks available. The local authorities also run accompanied walks to suit all fitness levels. The internet has plenty of information about all the local things to see. If you are a foodie, Berowra Waters Inn, a short 10 minutes drive down the mountain to Berowra Waters is home to one of Australia's best hatted restaurant. Lunch or dinner overlooking the beautiful Hawkesbury River is something you won’t forget. The restaurant offers free water taxi for pickup and drop off for both lunch and dinner. Specials pop up occasionally on Scoopon! Amenities are all around you - if driving, you are 2 minutes from a supermarket and a range of speciality shops (Coles supermarket, doctor, pharmacy, hairdresser, butcher, cafes etc. It’s 10 minutes drive to a very large Westfield Shopping Centre in Hornsby, 25 minutes to the beaches and spectacular scenery of the Central Coast. Also down at Berowra Waters are a variety of spots to enjoy the waterside views, restaurants, fishing and boat hire plus there are a few cafes and restaurants on the water. There are quite a few restaurants within walking distance including Thai, Chinese, Italian and Café fare. If you don't have a car, public transport is all around you - the Bus is just steps from the door, the train is an easy and flat 8 minutes walk. A few car hire companies will deliver a vehicle to the door and there is always Uber. If you are interested in getting out and about to do more than relaxing or bushwalking, a car is recommended. An interesting uniquely Australian day trip out is the Riverboat Postman. This is a view into a unique Australian postman’s day. You will join his boat for lunch while he delivers mail and parcels to the residents of some local islands. Owners are onsite in a separate home at the front of the property if you need anything at all during your stay. We always endeavour to give guests full privacy during their visit so do not use the outdoor areas when we have guests to ensure your peace and privacy.
