All linens, including bath and pool towels are provided. We are perfectly situated just south of the beautiful city of Cahors, right on the edge of the Causses de Quercy Natural Park, near the Black Truffle mecca of Lalbenque. Less than 10 minutes from the A20, the main highway from Toulouse, which is an hour away. Montauban is 30 minutes south of us, on that route, both beautiful cities situated on the mighty Garonne and Tarn rivers. Brive airport is just under an hour away, Toulouse airport is 1 hour to 1hour 15mins. We are also in the centre of a number of fine wine regions, AOC Cahors, Cote de Lot, Fronton, Gaillac and Coteaux de Quercy. South West France wines were last year voted Global Wine Region of the year by Wine Enthusiast magazine. All are accessible from our location, and we have been building a working relationship with a number of the most exciting, varied and interesting wineries in our area. We can organise tastings as well as offer advice and samples from our own cellar. We are very near the pilgrim route of Santiago de Compostela (Chemin de St Jacques), which passes right through our area, stopping at key towns and site , including the UNESCO world heritage mediaeval bridge ” Pont Valentre” in Cahors. We live in the 18th century farmhouse on the property - where we are raising a few dairy goats (and soon a couple rare breed pigs) and experimenting with cheese and charcuterie making. We are happy to share our knowledge of the beautiful area - and also offer bespoke food experiences - which could include visits to farms, wineries or local markets and end with making a meal together to celebrate the local produce.
