Broadstairs is packed with nostalgic, old-world seaside charm. Famous for its Dickens, music festivals, sandy beaches and retro ice-cream parlours, it’s the perfect place for chilled out family fun. The coastal town boasts 7 sandy beaches and bays and is the start of the famous ‘White Cliffs’ about 80 miles east of London. There are 2 Michelin restaurants within 5 minutes walk of the house and is a 10 minute drive from the popular seaside town Margate. The Neighborhood: Broadstairs is a coastal town on the Isle of Thanet in the Thanet district of east Kent, England, about 80 miles east of London. It is part of the civil parish of Broadstairs and St Peter's, which includes St Peter's, and had a population in 2011 of about 25,000. Getting Around: The home is positioned in the heart of the town, near a park and the high street and easy walking distance to the beach ( approx five minutes walk) . Broadstairs has good local transport routes via bus or train and the railway station is situated about 15 minutes walk from the property.. While Belmont road itself is for permit holders only, non-permit holding visitors can unload their cars from a space on the road as required, before parking just around the corner. Nearby roads with free parking: If you turn right out of Belmont road and then take the first left into Pierremont Avenue, there are various roads with free parking including: Pierremont Avenue King Edwards Avenue Clarendon Road Carlton Avenue The Vale Otherwise, further from the house- there is free parking on the seafront on both ‘Eastern Esplanade’ and ‘Western Esplanade’. We ask all guests to please make sure that the bins are by the gate ready for collection on Wednesday evening, if this is not done we may have to leave a negative review. Our on-site lockboxes and online and on the phone support mean that you can arrive quickly, easily and socially distanced.
