Quinta das Proteas

This beautiful restored farm cottage is set behind a large field of proteas with spectacular views to the neighboring island, Pico. From the terrace, in front of the house, you can sit peacefully with your morning coffee and watch the sunrise. The house is tastefully decorated, the main area is open plan with exposed white ceiling beams making for a lovely light and airy living space. The living area has two sofas, one of them a single day bed that makes up into a large double bed. Between the living space and the kitchen, there is a big dining table which seats six people. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large range stove, perfect for cooking lovers, and also a dishwasher and fridge / freezer, kettle, toaster and microwave. The house also has Wi-Fi. The double bedroom has ample storage in the four drawers under the bed as well as a hanging driftwood rack. The family bathroom is ample sized and contains a laundry area, complete with washing and drying machines. The large garden surrounding the house is mostly lawn with plenty of play space, and the bottom half of the garden is a large field of beautiful proteas. On the side of the property across the garden, there is also a covered entertainment area with a built-in barbecue, the perfect space to enjoy the best meals with your family and friends. Quinta das Proteas boasts breath-taking views of the neighboring island of Pico, with its classic cone reaching 2351 meters into the sky. The locals say you can predict the weather by observing the clouds around its peak.
