Or when it's time to hit the beach, Sheppard's Rest is just a 15-minute walk from Pauanui's ocean beach. Pleasant Point boat ramp is a short three-minute drive, as is the Tairua ferry service. Other things to note: Please note that the double bunk bed in bedroom 3 is made of a queen bed at the bottom and a king single bed at the top. As the deck barrier is below 1 metre high, all guests should take care in this area due to the risk of falls. As the property has unfenced access to Tairua River, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around water. All guests should take care in the back garden as there is a retained section without a barrier to prevent falls. There two kayaks available to use during your stay.
