"Tsampika" traditional home Archangelos Rhodes

With beauty there is no “why” – it just saves you!.." "Tsampika" home is located in Archangelos Rhodes (right next to "Serafi" home). It is 70m2, open plan space with two double beds (in the type of wooden lofts) and a single one (wooden loft too) with Coco-Mat bed mattresses and pillows. The comfortable "soufas" is one of the distinctive features of the house. The kitchen (fully equipped) is a separate room connected both to the main house and the courtyard. There is a large courtyard with elevated yard walls. It is full of aromatic herbs and flowers, exciting for children to play and for adults to relax. "Tsampika" and "Serafi" homes are ideal for hosting two friendly families. Restaurants, Supermarkets, Bank/ATM, Post office, Pharmacy, Communication Services, Health Center, Cafeterias are all available (50-200 meters from the home). Everything is on walking distance. Guests can also enjoy the great local beaches: "Tsampika", "St. Agatha" and "Stegna", all very close to the Archangelos (2 - 5min by car). The public transport is frequent. Bus stop - 50m from the house. The bus will take you to the city of Rhodes and to many beautiful beaches such as Kalithea, Afandou, Kalathos, Lindos and, further south, Prassonissi. The house was built at the start of the previous century, in the 1915s, in compliance with the traditional arch type architecture of Archangelos. It was fully renovated in 2012-13 by the original owner. It was done with absolute respect towards the “arch type” archangelic home architecture. ...The archangelic arch-type home, "Tsampika", opened its door in the summer of 2014 to everyone who would like to familiarize themselves with it and experience it (even if it’s for a short time). They will feel the culture which this home carry within it and also what they exude. The opening of these homes, "Tsampika" & "Serafi", to the people aims to keep the unique local cultural heritage of Archangelos Rhodes alive and pass it on all over the world. They do it by hosting the guests for a week in a “home - Treasure of Archangelic Tradition” and by encouraging them to live the experience of the local tradition which is exuded by “Serafi” & “Tsampika” traditional homes, to taste local dishes and traditional bread baked in the wood burning oven in the yard, to familiarize themselves with the local aromatic herbs of the yard.
