Combining the charm of the old with modern comfort, the Gîte du Figuier is located in the center of Sélestat in one of the oldest streets in the city. It is less than 2 minutes walk from many shops: bakeries, pastries and restaurants among others. A city of around 20,000 inhabitants, in the heart of central Alsace, Sélestat will allow you to access multiple activities. On Sélestat itself, and to name a few, you can visit the Gothic St Georges Church, the Romanesque Ste Foy Church, the Bread House and the Humanist Library. At the access level you are two hours from Paris by direct Tgv and 45 minutes from Strasbourg International Airport Entzheim. Regarding visits, children will be delighted with your visit to the Storks Park, the Monkey Mountain, the Volerie des aigles, the Château du Haut Koenigsbourg but especially to Europa Park if you make a short detour to Germany. The wine route, Kaysersberg (elected most beautiful village in France) or Ribeauvillé with its Casino and spa will delight parents. Christmas markets are numerous in Alsace throughout the month of December and their reputation is undeniable. In March you can have fun at the various carnivals in the area, in August at the Corso fleuri de Sélestat and at the Colmar Wine Fair and the first weekend in September at the medieval parade of the Pfiffertaj de Ribeauvillé. In addition Colmar is around 20 kilometers away, the ski slopes of the Champ du Feu and Strasbourg around thirty. On the first floor of a residential house and with a surface area of around 40 m2, the apartment, renovated in 2019, is intended for 4 people but can accommodate up to six people. It consists on the first floor of a large living room with equipped kitchen, a dining area with a large table and a living room with TV and double sofa bed. The bathroom includes a toilet, a washing machine and a large 120cm shower fitted with a jet shower bar and a hairdryer. Upstairs a reading corner with a double sofa bed and a bedroom with two 90cm beds that can be joined into a single 180cm.
