Traditional house centrally located
Traditional Family House Centrally Located
A traditional Sifnian house built at the end of the 19th century, only 50 m. from the square of Apollonia and near the main pedestrian street. This house is particularly attractive for those who seek the lively and sociable atmosphere of the town, while it offers easy access to the shops and public services, evening entertainment, but also midday peace. The nearest bus stop and parking are 100 meters away from the house, which is accessible by foot only, as it is situated on a village alley. The house was originally purchased by a family of architects in 1966, and it has been beautifully maintained in keeping with its original style and character. It has thick stone walls that keep it cool in the summer, the original Sifnian flagstone floors and traditional chestnut beamed ceilings. The internal layout is typical of the Cycladic island, comprising of a high ceiling salon, with seating and dining area, two bedrooms (one with double bed the second with two singles), a hall and a fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, and it is external to the house, on its courtyard (see house layout). The courtyard benefits from the shade of a beautiful vine with a dining table seating six. There is also a small veranda, leading off the second bedroom with views over the town and surrounding mountains. The house is suitable for up to 4 persons. The living room is air conditioned, with a television, and MP3/ ipod speakers.
