(Lanzarote is currenty exempt from the EU COVID-19 travel restrictions. Between each stay our premises are rigorously cleaned and sanitized by professional cleaners for any and all bacterias and viruses such as COVID-19) Is waking up to breath-taking views your idea of a perfect holiday? Hosts Martin and Astrid have recently renovated this beautiful oceanside villa with a private child friendly heated pool . No costs have been spared from high-knit linens and quality mattresses to a lavishly equipped kitchen or WIFI and 65" 4K TV to make this your dream holiday. Villa 'Vista del Mar Nico' is the luxury vacation home you've always been dreaming of... Family and friends will enjoy the fine furnishings, massive kitchen with solid oak carpentry and roomy bedrooms. But really it's in the large seaside patio where most of your time will be spent gazing into the deep blue sea. The promenade is only 50 steps from the end of the patio leading you past dozens of shops and restaurants and some of the finer beaches one can find on the island. Rent a bike and really explore the area, bring your clubs and enjoy the challenging 18 hole course just 5-minute drive away or take the kids to the myriad of attractions found around the island, there simply are no shortages of things to do on the idyllic and unique island of Manrique. The architecture for which Lanzarote is famous is reflected in the villa's design. The bungalow, one storey style is ideal for those with mobility issues; parking is found in front of the home and access to the aforementioned promenade is only 2 steps down from the front of the house. The main bedroom is very large and spacious with, what else but a spectacular view out towards the sea with connecting doorway onto the patio. The en-suite bathroom is very large with walk-in shower and his and her sinks. The scent of cedar is a delightful constant from the walk-in wardrobe closets. The second bedroom has no less beautiful seaside views also with direct access to the patio and sleeps two comfortably on a queen-size bed and another two on a double-sized pull out sofa. Additional bedding is available if guests prefer to sleep with individual blankets. This room also comes with an en-suite bathroom and walk-in shower and also provides a desk for the workaholic of the bunch…that’s if the views don’t get them first. Our last bedroom is snuggled in the quietest part of the house with large closets, en-suite bathroom with large walk-in shower and sleeping for two on two individual beds and one double-bunky above one of the aforementioned single beds. In the evenings after a busy day of activities the family can get together on the massive wrap-around sofa and watch some movies on the enormous 65" SMART TV. For the musically inclined why not try playing a newly learned Spanish sonata on the piano provided? Those in a more romantic mood will enjoy the wind-protected gazebo, a wonderful enclosure where one can enjoy that well-deserved cocktail. When it comes to dining Villa Nico spares no expenses. The solid oak fitted kitchen has everything the most demanding chef needs to prepare any special meal one could dream for. The large island in the middle is the kind place where everyone can gather, enjoy their wine while peppering the chef with all sorts of culinary advice. This is the place you think about when one hears "the party always starts in the kitchen." But what good is opulent kitchen without the dining room to match? On cooler nights just off from the kitchen we have a gorgeous, cedar roofed dining area with comfortable seating for 8 persons. However, for the majority of the finer evenings you will want to enjoy the lapping of the waves on the outdoor dining table which also has room from for 8. Special detail has been paid to the cutlery, plates, glasses and linen where again no expense has been spared. Last but not least, we offer a roomy pantry with washer and dryer and all the amenities one can think of one needs during a holiday. Here you can store your days shopping and beachwear and any other knick-knacks you can think of. Now, a beautiful home is only part of perfect holiday, what’s also needed is the ideal vacation setting to enjoy your well-deserved time off. Enter Lanzarote, one of the most interesting islands of any there are in the world. Astrid and Martin were first drawn to the island through Astrid’s mother who came to the island in search of the dry stable air that blows through here. Throughout decades thousands of persons have come to island for the clean, pollen-free air, making this island one of the first in Europe to offer haven for those with respiratory issues. Then, slowly but surely Lanzarote also became known as top destination for ‘adventure-tourism.’ The landscape is inescapably unique what with the 150 volcanoes spread among its borders. From precipitous cliff tops to jagged shorelines Lanzarote offers a visual explosion of colours and sensations unlike any in the world. But the natural beauty isn’t the only draw that has been bringing people here for such a long time… If you’re going to visit an island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean then you can well expect to have your senses exploded by the plethora of seafood available to you. But wait, not just seafood! What about the abundant wineries dotted about the islands? Or the infamous ‘papas arrugadas’ (wrinkled baby-potatoes) and accompanying sauces? Who would have thought that on such a (relatively) small island one could come across such a rich history of cuisine? This is the magic of Lanzarote, just when you thought you’ve discovered it all there is something just around the corner to test your senses. This is why we at Villa Vista del Mar Nico hope that you challenge your senses and get up and out and discover all the riches the island has to offer. Our hope is that with each trip you begin to become more and more enamoured with this treasure island and that like us, one day you too plant roots here much as we have…
