The cottage is beautifully furnished, cosy, comfortable and well appointed, with an open plan living and dining area, new kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, microwave, washing machine. Two bedrooms one with a double bed, one with a king-size bed. Modern bathroom with P shaped bath and overhead raindrop shower. You'll be warm and cosy with our very effective gas central heating and luxury bed throws. There's a Smart TV, free Wi-Fi, iron and ironing board, drying rack and hairdryer. Towels and bed linen are provided. Arthur's Cottage is a first floor apartment with gated access and is reached via an external staircase and balcony which gives views over the private Yard 44. A newly available rental in 2019, it is within walking distance of the bus station (1 min) and Kendal train station (5 mins). All other local amenities are close by, including a wide range of restaurants, cafes, takeaways and shops. We welcome one well behaved dog, please bring your dog's bed and we ask you to ensure your dog does not climb on the furniture. The historic town of Kendal has a great selection of restaurants, bars and eateries. It hosts many cultural events and festivals throughout the year. Many attractions like the Brewery Art Centre, The Abbot Hall Art Gallery, Museum of Lakeland Life. Quaker Tapestry Museum and Kendal Castle are all within walking distance. Or you can take a simple stroll by the river to relax it's just minutes away. From the cottage there is easy access by road to Windermere, Grasmere, Ullswater, Langdale, Coniston and beyond, or you can leave the car behind and travel by train to Windermere. Alternatively, you can tour round all the Lake District National Park by bus, details available at the bus station across the road. However you choose to enjoy your Lake District holiday, Arthur's Cottage is in a perfect location and offers comfortable relaxing cosy accommodation. From the cottage you can walk to the ancient ruins of Kendal Castle, take a walk along the river, visit the Brewery Art Centre which hosts many events during the year and view the artworks on display in the Abbot Hall Gallery. Kendal has much to offer the visitor throughout the year, Food fairs, Mountain Festival, Comic Art Festival and much more. We look forward to hosting you.
