Berry is the closest and most famous town, situated only 15mins from Miramar and brimming with a great variety of restaurants, cafes and homewares shops. Good food is easy at Berry which its IGA stocked with everything one needs, local Butcher, Justin Lill Wines & Sourdough Bakery. To dine we recommend South on Albany for fine dining (book well ahead), Quattro Pizza for takeaway, Salmon & Co for relaxed & cosy or Hungry Monkey for some of the best burgers around. Kangaroo Valley is also worth exploring with super delis and The General offering amazing food for brunch. The South Coast is famous for its pristine beaches of Gerroa, Gerringong and Seven Mile Beach which are located a short drive away. Even though you are in the heart of lush countryside, the beaches are wonderfully close and great for mad surfers and sand-castle building families alike. Jervis Bay & the white sands of Hyams is a little further but definitely within reach as well. For those seeking adventure Kangaroo Valley hires kayaks, cycling is second to none with plenty of challenging mountains, bush walking aplenty and much more. Look up Drawing Room Rocks for an easy family walk to witness sensational views. Lastly, to wine down spend some time tasting wines at the local wineries such Coolangatta Estate, the South Coast’s most awarded winery, make a reservation at Silos Estate and Restaurant for a long lazy lunch overlooking the vines and visit the other local wineries include Crooked River, Mountain Ride and Two Figs.
