"CasaVacanzaToscana di Michelle” is located within the medieval village of Castelvecchio, among the hills of Pescia, from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Valleriana (also known locally as ‘La Svizzera Pesciatina’ - the ‘Switzerland of Pescia’). The village is ideally positioned for excursions to many of the most interesting locations in Tuscany. Castelvecchio is one of ten famous Medieval Villages known collectively as ‘I Dieci Castelli. The house, whose construction dates back to 1514, was completely renovated in 2017 and now consists of two fully furnished apartments. Both apartments have 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms, providing ample accommodation for a total of 6 guests each. The apartments are equipped with Wi-Fi internet and satellite television. The kitchens are fully fitted including dishwashers. The two apartments can be rented individually by two separate groups of people, or else the house can be rented in it’s entirety by one large group of people. The private salt pool (8mt x 3mt x 1.20mt can be heated by solar panels) is available for both apartments. Guests can relax on the lush green lawns surrounding the pool, from which there is easy access to the immediate surrounding countryside. Due to the excellent position of the house, situated at the top of the village and with both North and South facing aspects, there are several areas to choose from either for sunbathing or relaxing in the cool shade. The property is completely fenced offering greater privacy and peace of mind for those families with small children. Parking is available 50 meters from the house but you can also make a short stop in front of the entrance to load or unload luggage. An excellent trattoria, Pub Pieve, is within walking distance (200 mt) and a further two restaurants are located at the foot of the hill (1.5km). All these restaurants offer typical Tuscan dishes and enjoy an excellent reputation. One of the most beautiful Romanesque churches in Tuscany (national monument) dating back to the year 1000, is located 200 mt from the house. Remarkable Renaissance frescos may be visited in the crypt of the second church within the heart of the village. The owners of the house are originally from the village and speak English, French and Spanish as well as Italian. They have a great knowledge of the region and are available to provide information and advice about excursions by car, walking or horseback. There is a tennis court at the top of the village. The nearby town of Pescia (20,000 inhabitants), which is 11 km away, offers many supermarkets and numerous shops and services.
