Mosman home with Balmoral and harbour views
Balmoral and harbour views
Our house is a beautiful and comfortable federation-era house on the Balmoral slopes of Mosman. It has spacious, sundrenched living areas and two terraces with lovely views over Sydney harbour. The house is on a lovely quiet residential street. You will be woken in the morning by the serenity and the birds! It’s close to everything, just around the corner is the main street running up to the shops and down to the beach. Our house was built in the “Queen Anne” style about 100 years ago. It’s a lovely style of architecture, easy and comfortable to live in - big rooms with high ceilings and beautiful wood features. We are lucky that our house faces the north side of the harbour so it gets lots of sunshine throughout the day, especially in the morning. The main (entrance) level of the house has a huge open plan living, dining and kitchen area, leading out to a big terrace that looks over the treetops to the harbour. You can see the Manly ferries chugging along. This level also has the main bathroom and a laundry room. There are four bedrooms, two on each level. On the main level: - one bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a marble ensuite with shower - the second bedroom has two king single beds and a study nook. Upstairs: - the large master bedroom has a queen bed and a huge terrace with spectacular views down to Balmoral beach and the island. - the fourth attic bedroom is best suited to a child or a smaller adult – it has an antique three-quarter bed, made in a time when people were shorter! The two upper bedrooms share a bathroom with shower. The single-car garage (room for a second car parked in tandem) is on the lower garden level with exit to the rear lane. (there is a locked basement on this level as well, but it shouldn't get in your way). Our place is perfectly suited to families on holidays or relocating. It may not be suitable for toddlers (while we’ve made every effort with safety, the drops from the balconies are precipitous), but is perfect for non-mobile babies or older children. It might not be suitable for the less mobile (there are some stairs into the house, and the path down to the garage is reasonably steep).
