This spacious holiday home is situated on a large plot with private pool and superb views, in the village of Quarante in the Languedoc-Roussillon. From this very peaceful villa, you can admire the village, the vineyards and in the distance, the mountains. In front of the house is the owner's olive grove with a hundred or so olive trees! Upon entering the house, you will be seduced by the spacious living room with an open plan kitchen, equipped with a counter, the dining room and the comfortable seating area with television. From this perfectly equipped room, you will have access to a beautiful and wide wooden deck. It is raised and partially covered and overlooks the pool (semi inground pool), which includes a shallow area perfect for the youngsters. From the living room, you reach a mezzanine with a foosball table and other various games. Quarante is named after the river flowing through the village. It is a lively village near the Canal du Midi. The village has a 10th century abbey and a fantastic gazebo. You will find all the necessary shops, two cafes with terraces, a bakery and three restaurants. At the end of the village, the cooperative cellar offers a wine tasting, you are also able to purchase wine directly. In summer, there are various village fetes with music. Cruzy is a nearby village with a lovely farmers market every Friday. Like many hamlets and exceptional villages, Quarante is part of this captivating region of Occitanie, bordered by the Mediterranean, which extends from the Canal du Midi to the banks of the Orb. The locals will welcome you into the heart of the Saint Chinian vineyards, the Minervois and the Languedoc, only a few kilometres away. Do not miss the Great Wine Festival in St Chinian, held every year on the 3rd Sunday of July (subject to exception), with sixty stalls all offering tastes of wines and local products. There are many choices for those wanting to go on excursions, whether it be on foot, by bike or on horseback, you can explore the unspoiled landscapes and beautiful buildings such as capitelles, dry stone walls, mills and chapels. Your car can be either parked on the property, or in the large garage where there is room for several cars. Please note that: Bed linen and towels are not included in the room rate.
