The area is touristy little developed, thus retaining its original charm. The village Kampani is a typical small Greek village with beautiful, inviting to walks paths. In Dorfkaffeneion one enjoys among pines a Greek coffee or a glass of wine with a snack. Minimarket you find everything you need for the first few days. The bus stop is located nearby and up to 12x daily the bus runs about 15 minutes. up to Chania The sandy beach of Kalathas is 1.6 km, partly strongly downhill, nicely landscaped to get through the small gorge of Kalathas. The beach is characterized by very fine white sand, very flat beach and therefore ideal for children. On the beach itself there are sunbeds, a tavern, a small coffee and water sports such as canoes, pedal boats, stand up Paddle, .... An ideal starting point for excursions to the monasteries (Agia Triada, Gouverneto ,, Korakies) around or on the numerous beaches of Akrotiri (Stavros, Tersanas, .Marathi) Even a trip to the west coast and part of the south coast are highly recommended. The airport is 5 km away, up to Chania is 9 km away. On foot, 100 - 200m you can reach the supermarket, bus stop and the Dorfkaffeneion. The nearest major town is 1.5 km away. There you will find everything for your daily well (supermarkets, pharmacy, bakery, pastry shop, restaurants, doctors, ...)
