Kawau Seaview Escape

Our Beach house is in an idyllic subtropical location on Kawau Island. After you hop off the ferry at Schoolhouse Bay we are only 5 minutes walk up the hill from the wharf which is so handy. You can swim and fish at the wharf and there is safe swimming at schoolhouse Bay. Once you are at the house you can relax on the deck while enjoying the fantastic views of the harbour. The house is very private as it is surrounded by bush. So quiet and peaceful and it is a treat to listen to many different native birds. Mansion House the historical former home of Sir Governor Grey New Zealand’s first Governor is half an hour walk away through the bush and you can also explore places like ladys bay and the old coppermine lookout. Special conditions: There are no rubbish collection facitities on Kawau Island. so please be aware that you will have to take your rubbish off the island with you. At sandspit wharf there are large skips andamp; recyle bins you can use . Our house is a 5 minute walk up the hill from the Schoolhouse Bay Wharf. You will need to carry your food andamp; bags the 5 minutes up the hill . You can borrow the trolley from the wharf but please take it back to the wharf .. Thanks andamp; have a great time!
