The first is a canopied king size bed with two side bedside tables, two bedside lamps, feather duvet, four pillows, wonderful view, wardrobe, long framed wall mirror, bedroom chair and an ensuite shower room. Towels and linen are included. Bedroom two is the elephant room, so called because there are several elephant pictures and a number of model elephants decorating the room. The twin beds are electric to make reading in bed a real luxury and the bed heads are antique and match a small cupboard in the room. In addition there is a large chest of drawers, a bedside cupboard, two lamps, towels, linen, feather duvets and a clothes hanging facility on the back of the door. This room has an ensuite bathroom with opening window to the front. Bedroom three has twin beds a lovely view and is refreshingly decorated in blue and white. In addition there is a large bookcase for clothes storage, a bedside cupboard, a touch lamp, towels, linen, feather duvets, a bedroom chair and a couple of rather nice pictures on the wall. This room is not ensuite but the family bathroom is very nearby. The kitchen is equipped with microwave, electric cooker, fridge freezer, toaster, cafetiere, electric kettle, and dishwasher. The lounge is a very decent size with two large sofas; one with a chaise longe for extra comfort and in all, allowing for six people to be seated comfortably. The dining table is in this room and again, is large enough to seat six people. A couple of dressers help to make the room more homely and provide storage space for books, table mats, games, serviettes, glasses, etc. Outside there is a large stoned patio area with a paved patio within it and a gazebo over it to give shelter and shade to the outside wood table and six chairs. Around this patio are triangular flower tubs and small trees in pots. There are full size cushions for each of the chairs. Weather permitting, there is a badminton net set up on the back lawn and swingball. For those who like outside cooking there is a barbecue and there is a washing line in the side garden. The whole area of the burrow is fenced and gated and is a very reasonable size for children and dogs. The location of The Burrow is handy for several golf courses including the famous Celtic manor and Alice springs. For the gourmet there are a number of reputable eateries including The Walnut Tree, The Hardwick and The Black Bear. Wales is well known for its castles and so there are many to see, one of the best is Raglan Castle which is just a few miles away.The Big Pit is a favourite with our visitors and the hidden garden of dew stone is a must. The Forest of Dean offers all sorts of sporting opportunities including biking and pony trekking and if the weather is disappointing, there are sports centres and swimming pools in easy distance. For the fit and healthy, there are the mountains and beacons to climb and plenty of easier walks along the canals for those who prefer a gentler form of exercise. Cardiff, Newport, Bristol, Abergavenny, Monmouth and Chepstow to mention a few, are all within easy reach for a little stroll round the shops, museums, castles or to visit the cinema. The beautiful and picturesque Wye valley is half an hour away and this is a super place to hire canoes and travel leisurely down the river, stopping off for lunch and finishing in the village for a sundowner and a meal. The Burrow is the ideal place for children and dogs. Fresh air, beautiful countryside, peace and quiet, this is what you can expect from this cottage. Families, couples, groups of friends can all be accommodated here. Coffee outside on the patio first thing in the morning or last thing at night watching the sun go down, will leave you with wonderful memories of a great holiday.
