The nearest bakery and bar are at St-Priest-les-Fougères, a 3 minute drive. More shops, supermarket, and one of the best restaurants in the area in La Coquille, a 5 minute drive. Thiviers, the ‘capital of foie gras', is 21km south and has many good restaurants and shops selling regional produce, and a good Saturday market. Ideally placed in the northern Dordogne, one hour's drive from historic Périgueux and its famous cathedral with cupolas, pretty shopping lanes and thrice-weekly market.
