Babes in arms welcome. Moonseeker is a gorgeous barn conversion, lovingly converted to blend traditional with contemporary. The cottage sleeps 4 people (children 8 years +, or babes in arms), yet is perfect for a couple as well, in a quiet and secluded setting, without being remote. It is a fabulous location if you enjoy nature and are looking to relax in a well equipped holiday home in the countryside, yet with the coast in easy to reach - You can reach the coast of both Devon & Cornwall in under 40 minutes!! As a family run business we carry out all cleaning ourselves. We will be following UK government guidance on the procedures and products for cleaning and these will be subject to change, as advice changes. Moonseeker is furnished to a very high standard, with lots of character features. It forms part of a medieval farm complex, next to the former Farmhouse and round house, offering seclusion & privacy, with the owners on hand if you need them. Multiple very well behaved pets are welcome - 2 can stay free with additional welcome at £25 each per pet per stay, but please read the booking terms to make sure this property is suitable for your pet(s) before booking. We provide small throws, paw wiping towels, bowls & treats. There is a muddy paw/boot wash outside the door. The back garden is fully enclosed with fencing, hedging and a wall, well screened and very private with decking, garden furniture and BBQ. The view is across the field (sheep and lambs may be present) toward Dartmoor National Park. Inside the cottage the downstairs is open plan with a grand central oak staircase separating the lounge and kitchen areas. The Kitchen has a range style cooker (gas), microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, espresso coffee maker and a table that seats 4 comfortably. An initial supply of tea, coffee and sugar is provided along with salt, pepper, vinegar and spray oil for cooking. There are plenty of saucepans, glasses, crockery and cutlery. Tea towels and hand towel provided. We also provide dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and laundry liquid. The Lounge has a 40" TV with a DVD player, iPod dock/radio, woodburner (first basket of logs free), leather sofa and 2 armchairs, coffee table and some games. There is a downstairs cloakroom (towel and hand soap provided). Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, both ensuite, with power showers, large shower enclosures with low profile shower trays, loo and sink. The beds are comfortable hypnos beds, one King size the other Superking, which can split into a twin on request. One hand and one bath towel provided per person. There is undercover parking for 2 medium sized cars a short walk away (about 30 metres) but you can park nearer to the cottage for loading and unloading. There is fast EV charging at the local garage (80% in 15 minutes), which is about 5 minutes drive, which is conveniently located as you exit the A30 enroute to the property, but regret we cannot permit charging at the property due to supply capacity. Moonseeker is 1.5 miles from Dartmoor National Park, the nearest Dartmoor village being Belstone. Okehampton market town is just 5 minutes drive and has excellent amenities including independent shops & cafes, a vegan cafe, antique shops, a museum, cinema, leisure centre with a pool as well as Waitrose, Co- Op and Lidl. The coast is just 40 minutes drive. If you enjoy eating out our local pub (5 minutes by car) has a Michelin chef and is the perfect picture postcard location with its thatched roof and log fires. Bring your bikes for some fabulous bike rides with great scenery; the Tarka Trail, Granite Way, Drakes Trail, Camel Trail are all accessible from our location. Bikes can be hired locally for the Granite Way. COVID-19 As a family run business we carry out all cleaning ourselves.
