Hi there...This is a beautiful farmhouse on a large plot in a sweet lane, that has a saltwater swimming pool. It is tastefully decorated, with a French country feel, and an up-to-date kitchen that has all you need and more. There are three tables to sit and eat at – one in the sun, one in the shade, and one inside – as well as loads of chairs and sunbeds to rest or read, and sofas to chill out on. The sitting room has a fireplace. The house is five minutes' drive from Châteaurenard, a busy town with all amenities. There are so many gorgeous towns and villages nearby, including the beautiful town St Rémy and L'isle-sur-la-Sorgue, both of which have the most beautiful antiques shops and markets. Rivers and views and shops and markets and great food in so many restaurants Our guests are able to access all the space, except for the garage and two small owner cupboards in the house. In the winter months the pool is not in use. Of course we are able to offer help through out your stay, places to visit, or if you need a hand in the house. It is easy to never leave the house – but it is so worth it when you do. Summer or winter here is just as interesting, beautiful in September and October too! Swimming in rivers, markets galore, shopping, wine-tasting in the vineyards, or watching the sunflowers bowing to the sun. It is France at its best. Nearby Chateaurenard has all the required amenities – supermarkets, a weekly market, restaurants and bars – while a short drive away, there is the historic city of Avignon, the artistic Provencal town of St Remy, the fabulous Rhone vineyards, including Chateauneuf-du-Papes, and the western end of the Luberon valley. The nearby Gard and Sorgue rivers are excellent for canoeing and swimming, there is horse-riding around the nearby hills, while the Mediterranean is not too far away. Even in the winter months there is still plenty to do and see, beautiful villages, restaurants, views that artists still go to paint. And when you come home, an open fire... Coast/Beach: There are many good beaches around Marseille and beyond, around one hour's drive away. Travel: Avignon airport is 10 minutes' drive away (Flybe from Southampton, Saturdays only, end of May to end of September); Nimes (Ryanair from Luton) and Marseille (EasyJet and BA from various departure airports), around an hour's drive. Eurostar provides a direct service to Avignon during summer season; with one change during out of season months. Calais is 600 miles, almost all motorway (tolls apply). Car hire is recommended. Distances: Chateaurenard is two minutes' drive or 10 minutes' walk; Avignon centre is 7.5 miles; St Remy 4.5 miles; Li'Isle sur la Sorgue 14 miles; Les Baux 18 miles; Chateauneuf-du-Papes: 18 miles; Orange: 25 miles; Pont du Gard: 23 miles; Marseille airport: 47 miles, city centre 57 miles; Aix-en-Provence: 58 miles.
