Vintage chic romantic cosy cottage

'Bijou, cute, amazing, lovers' retreat, honeymoon hideaway' - these are just some of the words used by recent guests to describe our lovely stone cottage. Set in a private garden with access to a private pool, it's the perfect romantic setting. The cottage exterior shows inspiration from a typical Alentejo style cottage but step inside and it is far from typical. As you bow your head to go through the old original door you are greeted by a double height space with a mezzanine floor, on which is set a pretty double bedroom. The 'saloio' (peasant) style kitchen has everything you need, including ceramic hob and washing machine, and the bathroom is stylish and modern. The stone floor throughout has underfloor heating, a rare find in Portugal, and the whole building is fully insulated, making it great for cosy winter stays. The cottage is set on the lower terrace of a private terraced garden in the heart of Sintra. It is in such a quiet location that you will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, yet the historic center of Sintra is just a 2 minute walk. Seems impossible but it's true! Guests have their own private garden and terrace in front of the cottage, with amazing open views over the countryside to the sea. On the upper terrace of the property there is a private pool and another garden with lawn and table tennis area. Please note that because of the nature of the landscape there are many steps involved and therefore it is not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
