Ideally located, just 39km, from the city of Carcassonne and the beaches of Gruissan. Here we offer you a lovely holiday home for 4 people, just 1 km from the village of Pouzols-Minervois. At the entrance, you will be greeted by a covered terrace equipped with table and chairs. There you will be able to enjoy the floral scent of the garden, which is filled the Mediterranean plants and flowers. In the garden you will also find the beautiful pool (1.30m deep) with its elegant Roman staircase. At the back of the house you will find another, very tranquil, smaller terrace. The interiors emanate a welcoming atmosphere, with French doors opening up onto the terrace at the front and back of the house. Even though from the front terrace you can hear the road, below the villa, children will be able to enjoy plenty of space for playing. You will be able to park you car in the shade, in a sheltered parking space. Pouzols-Minervois is a small wine village built on the Route des Vins, (Wine road), between Aude and Hérault, in the heart of Minervois, on the road that connects Carcassonne to Beziers. It is a beautiful village near the Canal du Midi (a listed UNESCO World Heritage site), a grand structure of the 17th century, and renowned especially for its panoramic view on the Narbonnais plain and its Romanesque church. The hills overlooking the villa displays a great diversity of Mediterranean plant life, which will delight any hikers in search of new fragrances and hidden trails. These hiking routes have beautiful views of the plain that extends from Beziers to Narbonne and as its backdrop, the mountainous terrain of the Pyrenees and most particularly Mount Canigou. Any wine lovers will relish in visiting the wine cellar museum or take a tour of a local wine cellar where they produce wine from 2,000-year-old vineyards. These exquisite Minervois wines, elaborated with the regions ancestral know-how and modern winemaking techniques, regularly win awards in national competitions. Among the places to visit nearby are the beautiful villages of Aigne and Bize-Minervois (5 km), and especially Minerve, a listed village. At 18km, Saint-Chinian, 27km northwest of Béziers, lies the lively village that is also worth a visit, located on the foothills of the Cevennes.
