Tucked into the southern coastal landscape of the island, Villa Mayeia provides a serene retreat for recharging in Crete. The Grecian holiday home is situated in the area of Plakias, just minutes away from all daily amenities as well as the homonymous long sandy beach and boasts stunning ocean views of the Libyan sea. The beneficial location of the property is very convenient, as it is within walking distance from the beach, all kinds of shops and our guests can enjoy a car free holiday. Layout Villa Mayeia is comprised of three levels, connected by a central staircase, covering 150 sq. m. in total. The residence features 3 bedrooms, one in each level, offering privacy among your group and can accommodate up to 8 guests. Furthermore, the careful selection of earthly colours, natural materials, branded furniture (Flos, Baxter, Classicon, al2, Davide Groppi), minimal design and chic bohemian decoration offer its guests a sense of luxury, harmony and tranquility while its clean lines create a contemporary silhouette. Ground Floor Entering the villa guests find themselves in a cosy, open plan area with a 50’’ HDTV, energy fireplace and bluetooth speaker. To keep the guests connected to the pristine landscape, the interior living room is sophisticatedly furnished and expands out onto the open-air space to take advantage of the sea views and warm climate, as large glass doors frame in ocean vistas while timber screens extend the interior out to a private terrace, swimming pool and outdoor sitting area. Additionally, a full kitchen, equipped with high quality, built-in appliances provides all necessary equipment for a self catered holiday, including an island counter, an upper counter oven with induction hobs, large fridge with freezer and even a wine cooler. An indoor dining area with benches is also available and the kitchen also offers direct outdoor access to the gas BBQ. A bedroom with a juliette balcony overlooking the garden and offering sea views, build in sofa that could accommodate one guest, can also be found on the ground floor. Each bedroom is a minimalist haven from the harsh sun with clean aesthetic and they all are air conditioned, featuring king size double beds (1,60 X 2,00) equipped with high quality DUNLOPILLO mattresses and pillows, suitcase stands, open wardrobes, 32’’ TVs and en-suite bathrooms consisted of a shower cabin, washing basin and toilet. First Floor The master suite retains the openness characteristic of the rest of the villa, offering access to a spacious veranda equipped with cozy bean bag chairs and wonderful views of the sea and the surrounding area, overlooking the pool and outdoor area. A safe is also provided. A second large veranda is also accessible for the guests, also enjoying panoramic views of the area and offering an additional sitting area. Lower Level Stairs lead from the ground floor to the lower level, where you can find the third double bedroom of the Villa, offering a sofa chair that can be used as a single bed and accommodate one guest, balcony and direct outdoor access to the lawn covered area. Finally, a laundry room with a washer and a dryer exist on this level. Outdoor area To make things even better, the outdoor space of Villa Mayeia is designed to make the most out of the beautiful landscape and amazing sea views. More specifically, the outdoor area includes: -35 sq. m. private swimming pool equipped with sun beds and an outdoor shower for your comfort. The pool can be heated with an additional daily charge for entire stay, upon request (Please note that the pool heating can be used upon advance request for the entire stay and it requires at least one week advance notice). - A beautiful, wooden, outdoor sauna for 6 people, with amazing sea views is located on the first floor veranda. -Outdoor dining area with comfortable sofas under the shade of a pergola. -Two spacious verandas on the first floor, assorted with comfortable bean bag chairs. -Fully equipped gas BBQ facilities, on the side of the dining area. -Parking space for up to 2 cars. -Lawn covered area, ideal for kids to play.
