The self-catering holiday retreat is a two minute walk from two cosy 17th century pubs, The Clanfield Tavern and The Double Red Duke, with excellent food and roaring log fires. The village also boasts a post office and village shop. In the neighbouring village of Bampton you will discover a supermarket, the local butchers, an art gallery and a number of pubs. Bampton has a variety of annual events including The Great Original Shirt Race, Morris Dancing and Donkey Derby. Ground floor: Large kitchen with a separate garden room for dining and sitting. Clanfield is an ideal location for an outdoor break in Oxfordshire with plenty of walks as well as cycling, fishing and boating (the Thames is only two miles away). There are an abundance of quaint, pretty, picturesque Cotswold villages surrounding the area including Radcot which offers one of the oldest crossing points over the River Thames. Burford is eight miles away, Oxford 21 miles and Cirencester 18 miles. Heathrow Airport can be reached in an hour and 10 minutes and the nearest railway station is Hanborough (13 miles) with Oxford (21 miles), Didcot (22 miles) & Swindon (17 miles).
