Characteristic terraced house in the small village of Solaio, a hamlet of Pietrasanta famous for the processing of marble and bronze. The historic centre of Pietrasanta is rich in art galleries and all kinds of shops. Do not miss a visit to the cathedral of San Martino, overlooking the Piazza Duomo, where there are many bars and restaurants. The accommodation is on several floors and has a panoramic terrace overlooking the sea and the mountains. Parking is about 250 m from the house and is reached via a small road that goes through the village. The house has a parking spot suited for medium-sized cars. In 7 km distance are the beaches of Forte dei Marmi, a seaside resort with many clubs and discos. Here there are also small fashion boutiques with famous brands and excellent restaurants. At 18 km distance is Carrara, the most important centre in the world for the extraction and processing of the famous Carrara marble, a very precious white marble that is extracted from the nearby Apuan Alps. The Cinque Terre, one of the most beautiful Mediterranean areas of Liguria, characterized by five villages overlooking the sea, are about 77 km from here. Do not miss the natural waterfalls of Malbacco (4 km), where the erosive force of the stream has shaped the rock forming a natural slide of about ten metres height.
