Luxury self catering gites in beautiful, quiet rural surroundings of the Poitou-Charente. Our three gites date back to the 16th Century and were part of a former winery which have been sympathetically converted in 2018, providing spacious accommodation with modern facilities. Situated on the Loire/Vienne border close to Futuroscope, the Chateaux of the Loire Valley, Vineyards of Saumur and Chinon as well as historic towns such as Poitiers, Tours and Richelieu. The gites have private terraces with seating and bbq which open onto large communal gardens with 10m x 5m in ground swimming pool. A separate building in the grounds, formerly the bread oven, now houses the games room with pool table, foosball table, darts etc. The characterful stone cottages under clay tile roofs offer much historic interest such as flag stone floors, exposed oak beams, indoor well covered with safety glass, vaulted ceilings and lime washed walls. The accommodation in La Maison de Puits comprises on the first floor a master bedroom with extra large bed (180cm x 200cm) and en suite shower room. There is also a bedroom with 3 single beds and sofa. On the ground floor there is a further bedroom with an extra large bed, kitchen/dining room with covered well, sitting room and a bathroom off the main stone staircase. Bed linen and towels are included with this rental.
