Our two new luxury three-bedroom log cabins are situated in the picturesque medieval village of Glynogwr. Each of the log cabins is centrally-heated with a gas combination boiler. They have one en-suite and family bathroom; both with electric showers. There are three bedrooms; two double rooms and one room with a double bed and single bed; sleeping up to seven people. In addition, there are two double sofa beds capable of sleeping a further four people with a potential sleeping capacity of eleven per cabin. All bed-linen and towels are provided at no extra charge. The open plan living area provides dining and seating for eight people, a wall-mounted flat screen television and leads on to a balcony which overlooks stunning countryside scenery. The kitchen facilities include a modern fitted kitchen with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, washing-machine and dishwasher. Each cabin is also equipped with a microwave, toaster and kettle as well as a range of cookware and tableware. Situated between the two log cabins is a South-facing decked area with barbecue and seating facilities as well as a hot tub / jacuzzi; an ideal place to relax and unwind. Free WiFi is available. There is secure off-road parking alongside the log cabins with parking facilities for six plus cars. Storage facilities are also available for bikes, trailers and other equipment. Ten minutes drive from the M4 motorway junctions 34 and 36, Glynogwr is a hill-top village with breathtaking panoramic views overlooking the Ogwr Fach Valley. It is an ideal location for visitors to experience a range of outdoor pursuits such as mountain-biking, hiking, running and walking or to explore all that the Glamorgan Heritage Coast has to offer, including the lighthouse at Nash Point, stunning beaches and castles. The Brecon Beacons, South Wales' highest mountain range and the famed Gower coastline are only a short drive away. Wales' vibrant capital city of Cardiff is within easy reach and offers all that a modern city has to offer including restaurants, shopping, museums, theatres and nightlife. The log cabins at Glynogwr look out over Mynydd-Y Gaer, part of the Earl of Dunraven estates. Mynydd-Y-Gaer is said by some to be the burial place of King Arthur, at the now-ruined church of St Peters-Super-Montem and the location of the Celtic fort of the chieftain Cadwgan A mile walk from the cabins is the Lakeside farm park, with a trout fishing lake, small holding petting farm, children's play area and a cafe/restaurant. The local village of Blackmill, less than a mile away has two public houses, one with a Nepalese restaurant and takeaway and the other serving a traditional Welsh menu. There is also a cafe, Post Office/ off-licence and shop, petrol station and garage.
