At the front of the property is a driveway and lawn. The Northgate Arena is only a few minutes walk for those who wish to enjoy a large indoor pool, gym or racket sports. Chester city center is a few minutes on foot to a wealth of restaurants, bars, shops, cinema, theater etc as well as the historic cathedral and tudor buildings scattered along the 'Rows' of Chester. Venture down towards The Groves which stretch along the River Dee, here you can enjoy a leisurely walk followed by lunch or simply sample some of Chester's local ice-cream. Cruise along the River Dee on one of the tourist boats or enjoy a rowing or motor boat so you can go at your own pace. The Grosvenor Park sits next to the River Dee where you can enjoy walking along the many paths with a large play area for children and a cafe that serves light lunches and snacks. Hop onto one of the red tourist buses that tour around Chester and point out local landmarks with running commentary. One of the main attractions of Chester is its large Racecourse and it's race meets which happen frequently during the summer months. Chester Zoo is one of the most famous zoo's in the country and is a must see if you are coming to the area with children.
