Enjoy the peaceful countryside with excellent walking and cycling from the door. Within a mile of the property is the World Heritage site that houses the world’s first water-powered cotton spinning factories. Matlock Bath, 4 miles, boasts smart riverside cafés and bars. Slotted in between are more traditional pubs, restaurants, tea shops and ice cream parlours. Here visitors can experience a cable car ride up the dramatic face of The Heights of Abraham gorge, and admire the views of ‘Little Switzerland’ as Byron once described this area. Shop ¾ mile, pub serving food and restaurant 200 yards. There are numerous steps throughout this property and sloping ceilings.
