Newly converted gites with pool and games room

Luxury self catering gites in beautiful, quiet rural surroundings of the Poitou-Charentes. Situated on the Loire/Vienne border close to Futuroscope, the Chateaux of the Loire Valley, Vineyards of Saumur and Chinon as well as historic towns such as Poitiers, Tours and Richelieu. Our three gites date back to the 16th Century and were part of a former winery which have been sympathetically converted in 2018, providing spacious accommodation with modern facilities. Both gites have private terraces with seating and bbq which open onto large communal gardens with 10m x 5m in ground swimming pool. We have converted our former bakery into a games room with pool table, football table, dart board and toys for younger children. We have two large table and chairs for all guests to dine together either outside undercover or inside, suitable for all times of the year. The characterful stone cottages under clay tile roofs offer much historic interest such as flag stone floors, exposed oak beams, indoor well covered with safety glass, vaulted ceilings and lime washed walls. The accommodation comprises of: Le Pressoir - Two first floor bedrooms, both with en suite shower rooms and walk in wardrobes, bedroom 1 has an extra large bed and bedroom 2 has two single beds. Bed linen and towels are included with this rental. On the ground floor there is an open plan living room area with comfortable sofas and television having french and english channels available, fully equipped kitchen area and dining area. Outside is an attractive terrace for the gites sole use with garden furniture and BBQ La Vieille Maison - The first floor has 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms, one bedroom has an extra large bed and en suite shower room and the other two bedrooms have 2 single bedrooms in each room and share a bathroom. Bed linen and towels are included with this rental. On the ground floor there is a spacious kitchen/breakfast room and a large sitting room with comfortable sofas and a television with french and english channels. Outside is an attractive terrace for the gites sole use with garden furniture and BBQ. Set in a quiet rural hamlet on the border of the Vienne and Loire within 2 miles from a town called Monts Sur Guesnes with a restaurant, bakers, butchers, convenience store, tourist office, bank, pharmacy etc. The nearby medieval towns of Richelieu, Chinon, Poitiers, Tours and Saumur offer excellent entertainment including chateaux, wine tours, fine dining, zoos, shopping, golf and the amusement parks of Futuroscope and Puy de Fou.
