Summary: Apartment Michele is a charming 2 bedroom apartment within walking distance of the lakeside at Lesa and just a few steps from the nearest restaurant. It's also a short walk to the sailing club where it is possible to hire dinghies and electric bikes, both ideal ways to explore this beautiful area of Italy. The Space: There are 2 apartments in the building. Originally, the property was an old barn and this ground floor apartment is where the animals would originally have slept. Rest assured, it has been completely renovated since then and is now a comfortable space from which to explore Lake Maggiore! Inside, guests enter into an open plan living, dining and kitchen area. A dining table and chairs is the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast or to eat if visiting in the cooler months, whilst there is also a stylish sofa for more relaxed seating. The kitchen is well equipped with everything guests should need during their stay. Moving through the property, there are two bedrooms. The first has a double bed, bedside tables and wardrobes whilst the second can be laid out as either a twin or double room. This room also has plenty of storage space and both rooms have a small desk area should guests need to catch up on any work during their stay. These rooms share a bathroom. This is modern in style decorated with pale cream tiles and equipped with a corner shower, sink and WC. The property has been tastefully furnished throughout in a simple, uncluttered and contemporary style. Outside, the garden is tiered. At the top, there is a vegetable garden. Guests are welcome to help themselves to any fresh produce that is in season. It is possible to see the lake from this highest part of the garden over the rooftops below. An outdoor table and chairs is positioned on the terrace, perfect for al fresco dining. There is also a pool in the garden for guests to use. Please note that there is a train line that runs behind the property. Trains are quite infrequent but guests should be aware that occasional train noise will be heard from the garden. The Neighborhood: The apartment is just a short walk from a popular restaurant - Hostaria la Speranza - and within walking distance of the sailing Club at Lesa. This is a popular spot with the locals. Sports equipment can be hired here and there is a cafe / restaurant. Another restaurant within a short walk is La Vecchia Scuola and Giorgio's fish shop is also worth a trip. There are also 2 supermarkets within walking distance. Getting Around: The bus stop can be easily reached on foot from the apartment so it is possible to stay here without the need to hire a car.
