Salzburg can be reached in 25 minutes, Munich in just over 1 hour with a direct train connection. It takes about 15 minutes to drive to the nearby Chiemsee, and 40 minutes to the Königsee. A variety of hiking and cycling trails lead you directly into the beautiful landscape of the Chiemgau.
