There are plenty of pubs in Rothbury that serve good food and bigger towns, Morpeth and Alnwick which are both a 25 minute drive away. There are many historic landmarks and country houses within easy driving distance, and we are 30 minutes from the coast. Edinburgh is approximately 2 hours away. There are 2 local train stations which bring you from London and the South, and travel North up to Scotland. There is free parking at both stations. There is much to see and enjoy in rural Northumberland and National Trust members will be spoilt for choice with a wealth of properties and gardens to visit. Please note that our nearest pub is 2 miles away. We do not accept pets, so the cottage is suitable for people with allergies.
