1 MIN TO THE BEACH! Large and very comfortable

PLEASE NOTE: Although we are new on Homeaway, our property has been listed on other major platforms since 2013, and has consistently received 5 star ratings from many very satisfied guests. So you can be confident in your choice. Our large and practical apartment is distributed in a wonderfully comfortable way. Upon entering, to the right there's a sleeping area with two bedrooms, one with bunk beds (great for the kids), the other can be configured with up to three singles, or double with/without an extra single, great for a couple + child for example. These rooms give out to a large patio area, about 15 M2, great for open-air dining or relaxing with a drink after a long day! It is enclosed in such a way that it is totally safe for young children to play there. Both here and next to the kitchen there is plenty of room where you can easily store any large items such as bicycles, scuba equipment and such-like. Turning left as we enter, we have a well-equipped and functional kitchen and a conveniently located toilet. Then we pass into the living room. This is separated into dining area and living, with sofa, TV, and music/DVD system. There is a small balcony with table and chairs, from which you can glimpse the promenade and the sea. Leading out of the living room we have the master double room and a small single, together with the bathroom. The distribution is perfect for a family with kids, because the parents sleep at one end of the apartment, and the kids are far away on the other side, with several doors in between! So the parents are guaranteed peace and intimacy... It is literally a 3 minute walk to the beach and the lovely seafront promenade, and only 10 min. to the town centre and the wonderful fresh food market (meat, fish and especially home-grown fruit and vegetables). There are many excellent restaurants, all within walking distance and very reasonably priced (we will provide you with a guide so you know where to go). Sant Feliu is a small town of 10.000 inhabitants, with a long and fascinating history, based around the fishing industry (which is still very active) and the production of cork (the surroundings are full of cork oak trees). The town centre is composed of the same 2/3 storey housing dating back decades, it has not lost any of its charm. It is the least touristy town on the Costa Brava, and as such is a great destination for people who do not want overcrowded, noisy, mass tourism. It is surrounded by nature, small coves and lovely beaches, and there are any number of sports and other activities available. In Sant Feliu itself you can sail, snorkel, scuba-dive, windsurf, do rock-face climbing, play golf, hike, horse-ride - basically anything. There are several museums in the town including one in a beautiful monastery which houses some of the Thyssen-Bornemisza art collection. There are many places to visit nearby: The town of La Bisbal, famous for its ceramics Several incredible medieval villages such as Pals, Rupit or Peretallada Estartit, for scuba-diving in the Medas Islands’ nature reserve (considered to be the best spot in the Mediterranean), and many more great places. If you want to travel a bit further,, within a range of 90 mins by car you can go to Barcelona and Gerona, with its not-to-be-missed medieval Jewish quarter (where part of Game of Thrones was filmed) Also Figueres and its Dali museum The gorgeous fishing village of Cadaqués, close to the French border, where Dali's extraordinary house can be visited, and so on. If you aren’t the sort of person who wants to lie on the beach all day, you will be spoilt for choice as far as other activities are concerned! When night-time arrives there are any number of bars with terraces to enjoy a well-earned drink and eat some delicious tapas, or more elegant dining, and great discotheques and clubs (most of them in Playa de Aro, 10 km north of Sant Feliu) Finally, Sant Feliu is extremely easy to get to. 90 mins from Barcelona by car or direct bus service from the airport, 30 mins from Girona airport, and only 1 hour from the French border. So, if you have never been here before, I highly recommend Sant Feliu as a base for your holidays in the Costa Brava.
