Finca Ca’n Mir is set in a very tiny hamlet (1,5km from Buger) with just four houses and enjoys complete privacy combined with total seclusion and serene calm. The actual finca dates from 15th century. Painstakingly restored over the last decade to now provide a home full of charming natural ambience , it is a sample of the ambience life in a bygone age with many modern conveniences. Can Mir is the oldest of the houses of the property Es Rafal. It dates of end of century XVI and still conserves the old structure of the mallorquin country houses as well as numerous Renaissance elements, such as the stairs, the arc that supports the house´s central wall, the windows, the cistern, etc… the idea that guided its restoration was to preserve all these old elements and to highlight them by a minimalist decoration. We find then great luminous spaces where they coexist the present and the past. However, fortunately it kept intact the most important architectural elements: arches, windows, stairs dating from the Renaissance inside; and cistern and water tank outside. The intention was to clear and highlight these elements with a maximal care. A car is a necessity! Please make sure you rent your own car!
