This area is extremely popular for its organized beach and location, right in between Chania City Center/Old Venetian Harbour and the bustling area of Agia Marina/Platanias. The apt is located in a quiet neighborhood with local residents. Only steps away you will find a mini-market, 2 supermarkets, a bakery, a pharmacy, several shops, many taverns/ restaurants/cafes and of course the beach. Just a few minutes walk to the two beaches of the Agii Apostoli (the Holy Apostles). The first cove at west is located just beside the east edge of Glaros beach. It is a beautiful sandy beach with all amenities and a large parking area nearby and easily accessed. A small peninsula is formed on the west side of the beach, which protects it from the winds. There is also a nice park (the largest in Chania) filled with trees, kids playground a walking/jogging path to enjoy your jogging in the morning or afternoon, and the scenic chapel of the Holy Apostles after which the wider area takes its name. A second “twin” semicircular cove is formed some meters to the east, with beautiful greenish waters and fine sand. The rock formations on the side are amazing. Beside the east end of the beach, there is a small pine grove extending to the east till Chrissi Akti. There are also tennis courts and a beach volley court in the area for the more athletic type. The waterfront of the Agioi Apostoloi (the park included) is under preservation by the authorities, therefore apart from the beach there is a large green space next to the sea.The local flora consists of many Pine, Nerium oleander, Palmaes and Eucalyptus trees. Sea Daffodil, a rare and protected species with large, delicate, white flowers and a strong scent, also grows in the area. It is something worth seeing!
