Villa Melai is only 1 km from the village of Orentano, where there are good restaurants and pizzerias, two bars and a grocery store. While only 5 kilometres away, in Altopascio, you can stock up for your stay in the numerous supermarkets. But Villa Melai's strong point is its strategic position: central between Lucca, Pisa and Florence, easily reached by car or train from Altopascio station. However, not only are the most famous Tuscan cities worth a visit, but the surrounding area offers numerous characteristic places and towns not to be missed, such as Montecatini Terme and Montecatini Alto, Pistoia, Vinci, Volterra, San Geminiano, the wine roads, Collodi and the Pinocchio park, Barga and the Garfagnana, Versilia and the sea, etc. Villa Melai is set in a large private park with a beautiful private swimming pool exclusively for you (14X16), consisting of two distinct areas divided by an island: the larger pool is 1.5 metres deep, while the smaller one is 0.80 metres deep with seats and a Jacuzzi. The latter, with two wide and comfortable stairs to enter it, has been designed for children to play safely, while you can relax in the sun or under the umbrella in complete tranquillity. The property is set on two floors with a separate entrance overlooking the large garden. The house is equipped with the necessary equipment for a comfortable stay: fridge/freezer, oven, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, and sufficient crockery for the number of people accommodated.
