Regional recommendations: Bingen: You can start from Bingen to make a ship tour on the Rhine river e.g. visit the Lorely(check out Groupon for discount) or do a RING TOUR. For a Ring Tour buy tickets in Bingen, and start the boats tour by going to Assmannshausen, take the Cable car up the hill, walk to "Niederwald memorial" and Eagle-Station. on the take the detours and visit the sight seeing points "Rittersaal", "Rössel". Take cable car down to Rüdesheim- visit the "Drosselgasse" and other sight seeing places in Rüdesheim. Take boat back to Bingen. Visit different castles, or just enjoy the wine and the hospitality of the region. Visit the town of "Hildegard von Bingen" and get her and her herbal medicine to know better. Visit the "Hildegard von Bingen" museum, near the Rhine river. Once a year, first week of July, Bingen celebrates the famous "Rhine in flames", where you can see several fireworks from the castles, and other sight seeing point along the Rhine. The best relaxing place to be and see most of the fireworks is the balcony of our apartment. Bingen is just 58km from the Frankfurt Airport and 63km from the Frankfurt-Hahn Airport, and is a good base to start from and have a relaxing holiday. The train station is by car/taxi 4 minutes from the flat, and by foot (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Minutes, depending if you go up or down. With car or train you can visit Wiesbaden/Mainz, Frankfurt or Koblenz within 1 hour by car or train.
