Pirralilla Estate Luxury King Size Apartment

There are four separate and all very private Airbnbs on the Pirralilla Estate. The King Suite is totally private and self contained. It has open plan dining and lounge area with 65inch TV. Bedroom also has 55 inch TV, King size bed with luxurious linen and beautiful garden views. Bathroom has a large twin shower with quality towels and bathroom amenities and there is also a full kitchen for self catering. Perfect destination for a romantic weekend or base for exploring the Hills and beyond. Pirralilla mansion was built in 1902 by the Michael Hawker, a wealthy mid north farmer, as his family's summer residence. Originally it was a very large acreage with orchards, grazing land, manicured gardens, tennis courts and swimming pool. The buildings include a double storey mansion, church, laundry block, staff eating quarters, stables, double storey pool house, governess's cottage, chauffeur's residence, caretaker's cottage and workshop and gardener's cottage. In the 1950s Pirralilla entered its second phase and was passed onto the Sisters of St Joseph ( Mary MacKillop's order) and it became St Joseph's Convent. A church was added onto the mansion and in 1972 a 30 room dormitory was built adjacent. Pirralilla turned full circle in 2009, as it was returned to a family estate and home for George and Esme Savva and their children. Work has now begun on renewing the gardens. We live onsite, so can often be seen around the place or in the garden. Please call or text if you need any anything. Aldgate village has numerous shops, cafes and a supermarket and is an easy 15 minute walk. Stirling is larger, has a popular monthly market, library, various restaurants and interesting shops and is 2 minutes by car or 30 by foot. Adelaide is a 25 minute drive and Adelaide Airport a 40 minute drive. Hahndorf, a popular tourist destination is 10 minutes by car or can be accessed by public transport. Pirralilla is in close proximity to many Adelaide Hills wineries and not too far should guests wish to explore the Barossa Valley or Maclaren Vale wineries. Bus stop 41 on Mt Barker road is 400m from the front gate and is regularly serviced by buses travelling to or from the city. Hahndorf, Cleland Wildlife Park, Mt Lofty Summit or Mt Barker can also be accessed from buses at this point. Pirralilla Estate in Aldgate offers a range of stylish self catering accommodation. Each suite is provided with cereals, fresh bread, a range of teas and coffee pod machine with coffee pods. Fresh scones and cream are also provided upon arrival.
