Traditional coach house in rural private estate.
Two bedroom coach house traditionally built with oak stairs and floors, and hand built kitchen. Parking immediately outside. Dedicated wifi. No private outside space but several hundred acres of parkland ( former Deer Park ) to walk in, from the front door. The village pub, The Helyar Arms, and the Village Cafe both serve food. The property is situated in the former grounds of Coker Court, a Grade One listed Tudor mansion. The entrance drive is a no through road. We can make outside seating available to guests. We can offer advice on all lengths of walk locally. The Jurassic coast is 40 minutes drive. The market town of Yeovil is 2 miles north, with an assortment of supermarkets. The guests have unlimited access to all parts of the Coach house. We live opposite and have three small children, dogs, and other animals in a nearby field including a pony, geese and ducks. We are available anytime during the day to help with any advice possible. We will be as quiet as possible but you should be aware that a certain amount of noise is unavoidable. If you are looking for total peace this may not be your best bet. The village of East Coker is famous for its links with T.S. Elliot, who is buried here, and with William Dampier, who discovered parts of Australia. The Village Cafe is the heart of the village. This is about 10 minutes walk. There are good public transport links with the two railway stations of Yeovil Junction and Yeovil Pen Mill a short taxi ride away costing £10.
